DOC MARTIN ~ SAT MAY 15 @ DHARMA

DOC MARTIN

Doc Martin’s live sets truly bring people together the variation in his style of music is endless. What makes him so different from the rest, is his unique ability to spin everything from Deep House Vocals that have so much depth and meaning to us all in some way, his Funky Tribal Bass lines mixed with Threads of Acid, his passive collection of Classics rare records that are only to be heard at his gigs. Doc Martin has developed the respect as a house DJ that so many of us admire. It is this respect that keeps him constantly touring, from New York to London, Japan and everywhere in between.

I've got a FEVA!

.dotbleep records | Chicago, IL

It's somewhere between heaven and hell / love and hate / cats and dogs / fire and water / is it house is it techno? in the end house is all under one roof! this is the underground! long live chicago! viva acid house!

Justin Long has been abusing sound systems as a DJ around the world for nearly two decades. Born in Chicago, July 8th, at 8:08 a.m. could possibly signify the reason he was drawn to the sound of the beats and bass at such an early age. He credits the Roland 808 drum machine as one of the most important tools in electronic music..

Justin first came across the sounds of Chicago dance music when he was sitting shotgun in his mother’s car at an early age. Upon fiddling with the radio, he found himself paralyzed as “Can’t Stop the House” flowed through the WBMX airwaves into his young ears…  He did not realize at the time that this sound was actually a symbiotic organism that was bonding with him!  Justin recalls being mesmerized, watching the Sex Pistol’s Johnny Rotten belt out “Anarchy in the U.K.” in addition to Adam Ant on a show about rock and roll. His mom then gave him her copies of the Sex Pistol’s Never Mind the Bollocks and The Clash’s London Calling. At that moment, a journey into the vortex of punk rock music was set for exploration!

NYE 2010 | OM @ DHARMA featuring OLIVIER DESMET

OM records | Amenti Music, San Francisco

A San Francisco transplant from Belgium, Oliver Desmet is no stranger to the industry as he is a 17 year veteran behind the decks. He’s also found the time to produce and remix over 50 records. His mix is synonymous with OM’s signature sound, but he also brings forward different elements of his own style. From the smooth melodic deep end to the harder techier sides of house, it’s this forward thinking and deep house influences that truly fuse his sets together.
